Ever since I got my new iPhone a few months ago, I have defected switched from DiGi to Maxis’ iValue plan because I want to enjoy the subsidy on the phone cost and it also includes a data plan. But there are things that I don’t like about the plans are expensive, no visual voice mail, free SMS and MMS is only applicable to other Maxis numbers, and the data plan provided seems too little for me.

What DiGi lacks during that time is 3G connectivity. Even though DiGi’s broadband is powered by 3G (HSPA), but they only offer EDGE instead of 3G to its mobile customer. But now, DiGi 3G is available in some parts of Klang Valley, Penang and Kota Kinabalu. I have seen the plans, its monthly data plan is priced at a promotional rate of RM48, better than my Maxis iValue plan.

Currently, I’m not going to subscribe it but I will decide to do so after I have done some value analysis. I will have to decide whether to cancel my Maxis contract and switch back to DiGi. The first thing I would do is to check out the 3G coverage, DiGi 3G is not enabled on default, just a call to DiGi is needed to activate it, a quick verification is required for the activation.

I have done a field test on the 3G coverage, it seems to cover my home in PJ and Ampang. Next is to test it, but I didn’t perform this because this would incur lots of charges to my bill. That’s all I have done so far, I would hope to say bye bye to Maxis and switch back to DiGi to enjoy more savings.

DiGi 3G have a download rate of up to 14.4Mbps.
iPhone 3G[S] can support download speed of up to 7.2Mbps.
But the download rate is probably capped at 2Mbps, the likely average speed is 700kbps.

This is how the Windows 7 desktop looks like when I first logged in. It fails to set the display resolution to match my screen’s native resolution, and it even fails to automatically search and install my graphics card driver. This has worked on the RC version, but doesn’t work now.

This is what you will see when you run the installer from the DVD. I’m ready to upgrade my Windows 7 RC to the final version (RTM) of Windows 7. I think I have all the tools ready to move to the final version. I’ll blog any updates on the installation.

I don’t know whether the marker is closing one eye, or just plain racist. I’m sure she is kind not to double or triple jeopardize me for the same mistake, that probably explains my high marks for that paper.

That is what I’m thinking. No, I’m not talking about how good is my ACCA progress test result, which is just a border line pass or an absolute fail. What I mean is we (my group) are probably going to the final of the CSB2 presentation competition.

Some of my group member objected against winning to the final round, even I myself never treated the cash prices as a primary objective of doing the presentation. I would say it as a bonus objective or a by-product of my commitment to quality in creating a “watchable” presentation.

But anyway, there are still other groups which still haven’t present yet. So there might be other groups that will score higher than us that will mean we are not going to the final round. Based on my observation, even though we may not have good contents, but I’m sure that our nice “watchable” presentation is a winning formula.

By the way, after visiting so many friend’s (what I mean here is my friends) blog, don’t you feel mine is a breath of fresh air? (Really!)

Hi everyone, to those who still visit my blog, even though there is no update for quite some time.

I made some cosmetic changes to the header of my blog, the most obvious you can see is the image in the header (On the top of my blog). That header image excluding the character shown, was designed by me back in year 2005 for my blog back then. I found it when I was savaging some files from a desktop that is going to be formatted. I made some modification to the original file so that it can fit on my current blog design which is more wider than my old blog.

Modifying the header image is just a small part of the cosmetic change, editing the code to fit the header image is more challenging. Most of the editing is in the CSS, plus a little in the (x)HTML. I even try out the CSS transparency effect (RGBA), you may not notice it since it is not obvious, or you can never notice it if you are using internet explorer. Even worst is for internet explorer 6 user, the header image is in PNG format which is coded with transparent parts.

The phrase “Romantic Fantasy Ragnarok” was taken from the Korean Ragnarok Online website, of course, it is not there now, but it was there back in year 2005. I don’t actually know what its mean, but at that time is the peak of its popularity.

I hope to continue publishing new post that is interesting and not rubbish, and I will try make some time just to do it. Thats all for this time, please expect something different from my blog in the future.

The exam result for the June 2009 session will be available at 17th of August. I have updated the “My CAT Results” page a few months ago to accommodate for the upcoming results, hope that I would pass all the papers and graduate from CAT and progress to ACCA.

That’s all, now let me continue to remain silent for a while.

As you can see, I have not published any new post during the last few weeks. My mood usually dictates my will to complete and publish a new post, if my mood is bad, I will have difficulty in expressing my thoughts, thus unable to complete a post. I have drafted a few posts but I’m unable to finish it, due to difficulty in expressing my thought and opinion in words.

My exam is just around the corner, to be precise, just 2 weeks to go. This is probably the cause of my bad mood, which affects my ability to construct proper English sentences that is required in writing my blog and to comment my friend’s blog, even though I read them, but never comment on them.

You can expect that there will be no new post for the next few weeks as I will be busy preparing for the exam. I hope you all will keep visiting my blog for my original and interesting articles.

By the way, it took me more than half an hour just to complete this post.
